While sitting peacefully on the most comfortable bed in the world reading around 9 p.m., I suddenly heard police sirens, saw flashing police lights through my window, and heard the horrible sounds of cars speeding and screeching with the final sound of a crash that sounded like a car had run into an apartment complex building.

After running straight for my roommate’s room and closing the living room blinds (assuming the worst, of course, like maybe there’s a murderer outside aiming for my window), we looked outside to see what was happening.

Across the way, one apartment complex had already had dozens of people standing on its balcony watching the mayhem. After a few minutes of seeking out the people who saw what happened, I finally found them.

It appears a JMU student was recklessly driving around the Sun Chase apartment complex for about half an hour hitting a parked car or two while he was at it. After watching the guy park his car and peek into someone’s apartment windows, a few residents got his license plate and called the cops.

It was a few minutes later that the cops arrived to chase him around the complex but didn’t stop until the driver hit one more parked car and couldn’t go any further.

The driver appeared to be unconscious since the police had to drag him out of the car and he was taken off in the ambulance on a stretcher. However, since the other car was parked, the crash was not severe nor was the car overturned.

According to eye witness accounts, he appeared to be in an altered state (possibly drunk or on some kind of medication) when he was peeking through an apartment’s windows.

The driver’s name we are unsure of; however, it’s rumored that he was a HUGE McCain fan (hopefully, his next four years don’t go like this) and hopefully, he has a quick recovery consisting of Excedrin and rest.
