Celebrating Christmas FSU Style

Celebrating Christmas FSU Style

After Thanksgiving college students are suffering in limbo; a week or two until exams and then home again for Winter break. Since most colleges have almost a month off in December that means a few weeks stuck at home without much of a nightlife.

This is why the last couple weeks left at school this semester should be spent doing what college students do best; ringing in the holidays in style. Sure, it's only December 1st, but don't let that stop you from decking your dorm/apartment/house out with a Christmas tree, decorations, or menorahs.

There's plenty to do at Florida State & other college towns to put you in the holiday spirit:

  • Tuesday, Pots is hosting "How Potbelly's Stole Christmas" , expect lots of sexy Santa outfits and mistletoe kissing opts.

  • Saturday Downtown Tallahassee is transformed into a winter wonderland for an evening festival.. pretty cheesy but fun.

  • If you don't want to invest a lot on decorations check out the dollar store for some holiday cheer on the cheap.

  • Make a wish list and email it out to your family; it's just as fun as when you were a little kid.

  • Host your own Holiday Party- you can have an tacky Christmas sweater dress code and serve spiked eggnog and peppermint schnapps hot chocolate.

  • Bake sugar cookies or decorate a gingerbread house and satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time.
