Here are some affordable do it yourself options for creating a costume out of clothes in your closet:

1. Michael Phelps:  He stole the hearts of thousands of girls at the Summer Olympics.

Wear a speedo, pile on the gold medals around your neck, don a swimmers cap, and draw on his signature below the belt olympic ring tattoo.

2. Cowboy: Who can resist a guy in cowboy boots and a southern accent?

Pair jean pants with a cowboy hat (you can get an inexpensive one at a costume store), a vest with a white tee underneath, a bandana tied around your neck like an outlaw, and cowboy boots.

3. Hugh Hefner:  He's getting pretty old, it's about time someone took over his job.

Put on a red velvet smoking jacket with black pants, slip on a comfy pair of black slippers, carry around a cigar, to complete the look have a blonde playboy bunny follow you around (or three).
