Now that we've been receiving some cooler autumn weather in Tallahassee people are starting to break out their sweatshirts, scarves, and leggings. Nothing bothers me more than when I see a girl wearing cutoff jean shorts and Ugg boots. If it's warm enough to wear shorts, is it really necessary to wear winter boots? You know you’ve seen it around campus or maybe even worn this look yourself.

Luckily, this fashion faux pas is easy to correct.

Not only does it look ridiculous, but there are much more stylish options when the weather cools off. For a cozy alternative, try a pair of slouchy leather or suede boots. A pair of fringed or lace-up moccasin boots a la Kate Moss are another fun option. For a look that really stands out try a pair of trendy ankle boots or a bright colored boots to make a statement. If you're planning to wear them tucked into jeans make sure to choose a pair with enough space.
