Tallahassee Native T-Pain Releases New Album, Thr33 Rings

Tallahassee's most famous native, grammy award winner T-Pain, released his new album Thr33 Rings on Tuesday. The album features more of his usual catchy beats, addictive lyrics, and collaborations with uber famous hip-hop artists.

The title and continuous circus imagery woven throughout the album represents the idea that the music industry is a lot like a three ring circus. T-Pain has certainly come a long way since his musical debut in 2005. His chart topping hits have given him immense success in the hip-hop genre and he has not forgotten his Tallahassee roots.

Thr33 Rings is one of those albums you can play straight through without skipping over any of the songs. Most of the tracks are really upbeat with memorable lyrics; the perfect background music for a party or to jam to while getting ready to go out.

Some of my personal favorite tracks off the new album are:

  • "Chopped N Skrewed" featuring Ludacris: The idea of the song of the girl being in charge is a refreshing change & the beat is great.
  • "Freeze" featuring Chris Brown: This song that will definitely be blaring from the speakers at all of the clubs.
  • "Digital" featuring Tay Dizm: T-Pain shows that his collaborations aren't just for the guys
  • "Ringleader Man": This is a monumental track because he isn't using his infamous robotic Autotune effect. He's still got a great voice without it as a "crutch"

I think it's important as Seminoles to show some Tallahassee Love for T-Pain and support his music endeavors! Plus, I'm pretty sure our clubs would be lacking something without his infectious tunes spinning every night!
