FSU played an exhilarating Thursday night game in Raleigh against North Carolina State. The Seminoles came away from the game with a 26-17 win.
What should have been a relatively easy win was made increasingly difficult with 6 penalties in the first half, a weaker defense than we've seen in recent weeks, and the fact that it was a psyched up NC State Homecoming game. The game came down to another stressful second half, similar to the Miami game.
The standout player of the game was quarterback, Christian Ponder. With his smart moves, ability to run the ball, and composure on the field, he has the potential to become one of FSU's next great quarterbacks...hmmm I wonder if he's single?
Other outstanding plays were completed by kicker Graham Gano who made a 53 yard field goal and FSU relied on him quite a bit during last night's game. Freshman Burt Reed sealed the deal by completing the final touchdown giving the noles a 13 point lead at the end of the 4th quarter.
I think all Seminole fans can agree with Bobby Bowden's statement about last night's game: "Them boys are feisty"!
