George Washington Rode his Buggy to Safeway, Now GW Students Can, Too
Congratulations to the 2007-2008 Student Association officers for not only living up to a campaign promise, but for living up to a campaign promise that is actually useful.

According to an article in the GW Hatchet, three Safeway supermarkets in northwest DC will accept Colonial Cash, finally allowing students to utilize their GWorld funds in a way that might not cause coronary artery disease or raise your cholesterol higher than the Washington Monument. Two of the locations are in Georgetown--one near the Mount Vernon campus--and a third is in the Watergate complex.

Now students shopping at the Watergate safeway can overpay for groceries with their parents' money.

Oh, and freshmen, don't try breaking in and claiming that Nixon sent you. The joke's old.
