Second Weekend Food Tips

Second Weekend Food Tips
So last weekend you went wild.  It was your first weekend as a real college student, and you drank six Natty Lites that your new roommate's scruffy friend brought over in a paper bag from some market on Pennsylvania Ave that doesn't card.  You woke up wearing someone else's jeans.

But now you're past all that.  It's time to buckle down.  This is your 4.0 semester.  This semester you're going to have six internships, do all your work ahead of time, and volunteer to build houses for all the homeless people outside JBKO.

You'll need sustenance, grasshopper.  And thus, you decide to order in some food.  But where, oh where, to call?

Pizza

Try This
Philadelphia Pizza Company, in Georgetown, makes tasty, basic pizza that'll be at your door within half an hour.  They have good crust---which, as we all know, is the most important part of a pizza.  Beware of the non-pizza items on the menu, as what they call a burrito is not necessarily the burrito you're used to.  The breadsticks, however, are to die for.

But Avoid...
Pane Bella, a Greek pizza company, takes forever, is notorious for getting orders wrong, and employs sketchy delivery guys who will hit on you and make you uncomfortable.

Chinese

Try This
Mr. Chen's Organic Chinese Cuisine achieves what we thought was impossible: Chinese food that doesn't make you feel disgusting after eating it.  Even the crab rangoon is barely greasy at all.

But Avoid...
Super Panda.  Like most of the Chinese places in the vicinity, Super Panda will make you feel gross, but on top of that, the food will take an hour and a half to get to you and be cold by the time you can chow down.

Indian

Try This
Taj of India delivers quickly, and the lamb korma will keep you energized.  Just don't pig out on the naan---tasty as it is, it's also a one-way ticket to napville.

But Avoid...

Let's just say that Mehran, on Pennsylvania Ave, has had a little trouble with the health inspector in the past.  They do have a killer lunch buffet though.
