The UNC Tar Heels are hoping their feet won't fail them now! The Tar Heels are getting ready to chow down some steaks in Omaha as they will be heading out west for the Annual NCAA College World Series.
After winning two games and sweeping the floor with Coastal Carolina with a final14-4 score, the Tar Heels have secured their place as Cary Regional Champions as well as their spot in the College World Series. This will be the fourth year in a row UNC has made it into the College World Series, but UNC's Cary Regional title will be tested when they play against LSU at the opening of the NCAA College World Series.
LSU has participated in the College World Series numerous times before and certainly poses a threat to UNC. In a series of three games against UC Irvine, LSU was able to easily win the Baton Rouge Regional pushing them up to the big game. After claiming victory over UNC twice before, in neutral territory, the stadium is expected to be jam-packed to see as this rivalry unfolds.
If you're in the Omaha area this weekend, check out UNC/LSU game will be this Sunday night, June 15 at the Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium.
