Four NYU Grad Students have brought telecom to new limits. The startup BotaniCalls has developed a technology that lets your plants call you and tell you when they need something.

Not only do you have to answer phone calls from bill-collectors, telemarketers and, worst of all, your parents, but now your potted plants you keep in your house are going to hit up your mobile.

Weirdest part of all? The service has your plants speaking to you in Scottish accents.
