Harvard to be Stripped of Russian Monastery Bells, But Will Be Well Hung Again
When the Commies still ruled Russia, the American industrialist Charles Crane brought the bells of Danilovsky Monastery to Harvard. 80 years later, we had to give ‘em up.

But Lowell House and Baker Library bell towers -- soon to be emptied – won’t be bare too long. Patriarch Alexy II consecrated 18 new bells to replace the originals earlier this week.

The trade is expected to take place in the coming months. In the meantime, we wait. Tick-tock.

Or rather, ding-dong.
