Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, was spotted yesterday at Harvard taking a tour of the dorm rooms, which suggests that the 18-year-old British actress may be enrolling at the university in the very near future.
According to the Harvard Crimson, Hermione Emma was first spotted at the Quincy House with two escorts around 10:30 a.m. by two sophomores – Chase Russell and Brian P. Hill.
Hill, who encountered Watson shortly after Russell, bumped into one of the escorts while exiting his room and nervously declared he was late for class before running off.
Smooth. Real smooth.
This lone encounter may have cost Harvard Watson’s enrollment.
The Crimson reports:
Watson then went to visit the room of the next student she approached, much to Hill’s chagrin.
“I actually called my mom; I was so distraught,” [Hill] said. “It was all I could think about for the entire morning.”
Other unconfirmed reports placed Watson around campus at the Admissions Office, the Barker Center and Annenberg Hall—which is often said to evoke the Great Hall at Hogwarts, the fictional wizarding school at which Hermione studies.
I doubt Harvard's Hogwarts-esque facade will be a major selling point for Watson – unless she’s insane and actually thinks she is Hermione, instead of a filthy Muggle.
Still, even if it were one, her initial encounter with the nervous, awkward Harvard student body should have been more than enough to make her reconsider.

American English language usage is a fail in any real English test.
Emma might be better off trying the European continent if she wishes to leave Britain, at least they will put forth a proper English course in Proper English. Posted 10/10/2008 05:57 AMReply
