Betcha didn't know that new hit book "How SASSY Changed My Life" is by Vassar alum Kara Jesella, class of '97. Uh huh, it's about the now defunct magazine Sassy, precursor to Jane, which by the way now sucks balls.
The book was picked for Gawker's book club, which means they made fun of it, which means I'm not going to actually read it unless I get really bored. I mean, I did buy Jane Fonda's autobiography. In the one paragraph Fonda devotes to her time at Vassar she says denounces the liberal arts and says something to the effect of "all I got from my time at Vassar was the clap."
Kara's publicist sent Vassar a copy of the book for free. We are all very pleased at the success of our former classmate, you know writing a book about writing for a magazine. it's very Devil Wears Prada, except nicer people, and with lamer alums, and worse haircuts.
