Google Bus at Notre Dame

Yesterday, the Google Bus parked outside Notre Dame's stadium to show off the web site's applications. It was an opportunity meet with Google representatives and some students visited the bus in hope of developing contacts for a job after school. Unfortunately, the Google road trip was strictly business and representatives only focused about how cool Google's applications are.

Although Google is known as a high-growth technology firm on the cutting edge of creativity, the company decided to increase awareness of their applications by physically traveling to college campuses. However, the bus is "eco-friendly." Can anyone think of a better means to provide information about computer applications than a bus? Maybe some kind of web site would be simpler and more effective to provide this information? That was my assumption, so when I heard their bus was arriving outside Notre Dame's stadium; I concluded the bus must be there to get a head start on tailgating for this week's game against Stanford.

I was sorely mistaken when I showed up to the bus with my party hat on and a case of Old Style. Google employees are not nearly as cool as I had hoped. I was really disappointed with the performance of the Google representatives, and they really need to Google "Tailgate" before they plan their next road-trip to a college campus.
