Or at least that’s what “Creature Comforts,” the newest clay concoction from Aardman Entertainment (creators of “Wallace & Gromit”) would have us believe. 

In their new TV series, they “interview” “animals” about various subjects. Or, I should say, interviewed. The series went off the air a few weeks ago after earning lower ratings than every other network show aired in its time slot, particularly “Deal or No Deal.” 

This continues the trend of well-made series, such as “Arrested Development” and “Firefly,” losing out to bland, pointless, and unintelligent shows. But viewers needn’t proclaim the demise of high quality television just yet. There are still plenty of intelligent, thought provoking shows out there, such as that sophisticated commentary on American stupidity, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”
