For those who forget (or for the thousands who don't read, based on how many issues are left lying around campus), there was a Diamondback article earlier in the year that polled students as to whether they thought James Gist would be drafted in the NBA Draft held last night. Let's just say people weren't too optimistic about his chances.

As he's been doing for four years though, Gist again exceeded expectations. Last night he was put in a dream situation when he was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, one of the best franchises in the NBA.

Here's hoping Gist has a wonderful career, and that when he starts making money he remembers those ECON200 problems I helped him with last semester.
