Hi everyone, my name is Lena and I'm OTRblogs.com's founding and managing editor. Here in our SoHo office, I manage the editorial content of our writers and the recruiting efforts of our intern team.

My mornings usually start with Special K (the cereal, not the drug) and a perusal of the latest entries from the night before. Besides official duties, I am also the caffeine dealer (maintaining the Diet Coke supply) and the unofficial party planner (encouraging boozin', schmoozin', and occasional floozin').

I'm originally from Los Angeles and study sociology at Harvard University. Doug hired me back in April when this website was closer to delta than beta. From my dorm room in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I wrote OTR's first campus dispatches and played guinea pig. In June, I headed to New York for the coolest description-less job I've ever been offered.

Since then, I've hitched my wagon to the OTR star. In six weeks, we've recruited 75 writers at 40 campuses. Every day, we take another school live on our front page feed. The guerilla journalists and gossipmongers we've hired never cease to impress with their wit, humor, and sheer talent. I love my job, I love new media, and I love working for a staff with a median age of 20. Also, I now have a job description.

In my spare time, I eat a lot of sushi, lust after Apple products, and blog about dating guys who party in seersucker and pennyloafers. My official bio says that I'm "a blogger and freelance writer for a variety of online and print publications." Basically, I don't get health benefits.

Doug is paying for my Lasik if this makes it big.
