"Not My President!" Well Then WHO Is?

"Not My President!" Well Then WHO Is?

Ever since President-Elect Obama gave his acceptance speech noting the divide in our country, a group of conservatives have continued to be obnoxious and are doing everything they can to continue the divide of our country. For their credit, there are conservatives out there, while they disagree with Obama's policies, that are willing to see what happens and give him their support for the sake of the country. Others, though, are in dire need of a good old fashion kick to the nuts.

Phrases along the lines of "You're a dumb-ass if you voted for Obama," and "Not My President" are appearing all over facebook via user statuses and groups. Ads even pop up asking if Obama bought the election or warning of his spreading the wealth around. Well guess what, even Fox News reported that Obama is just as much your president as being a douche-bag is your favorite pass-time, so you best believe it. This recent attempt to further divide our nation before Obama even takes over the Oval Office is just as lame as when liberals proclaimed they would be moving to Canada if President Bush were elected to a second term. Last I checked, Hollywood is still in California, so I don't think there was any liberal migration into Canada.

Now I have to ask please, oh dear God, please explain to me how proclaiming the President-Elect as not my president and calling Obama voters dumb-asses (by the way, look into the mirror next time you say dumb-ass) is going to better our country? Perhaps actual, legitimate criticism of his work as president will be constructive, but my thought is that we should give this President-Elect longer than -70 days to decide if electing him was a good idea or not. Either that or you really can move to Canada. You will be sorely missed... just as much polio was missed after a cure was found (saracasm note: you won't be missed).

Nice post. I wonder if Obama really believed America was over its serious race issues, or if that was just the only way to not alienate white voters. In any event, all this B.S. since the election, provides a pretty sad picture of what many folks on the far right think about change, and the rest of the country that does not agree with them. But Thank God, they are in the minority now.
