First of all, let me just say that I never lived in the dorms, and I've only eaten in any of the dining commons a handful of times, so I don't really get the outrage here. But, clearly people are upset that all dining commons will stop serving the Chicken Cosmo sandwich on Friday after 26 years. So guess you better get over to a dining commons fast.

It's April 2, so this can't be some April Fools joke that's being played on me (I hope), but according to the Penn State Food Services website: "On April 4, all dining commons at Penn State University Park will be serving the chicken cosmo sandwich for the last time." 

So, from what I can tell this is a pretty popular item, but from the pictures I've seen I can't tell why. Anyway, at least this decision isn't the fault of Penn State - Pierce Chicken Products who made the chicken patties is no longer distributing the product.

If the pain of losing the Chicken Cosmo is just too much for you, you can participate in the Cosmo Essay and Video Contest. If you are selected as having the best essay or video you will win, wait for it ... a case of chicken cosmos.
