The Harvard Crimson knows that no one – not even Ivy Leaguers -- enjoys reading long-winded articles that drone on and on. And so, they’re now stepping into the age of New Media by offering audio files for many of the news stories on their site.
As a result, you no longer have to read the original eleven-paragraph article describing sophomore Jeremy D. Hoon’s arrest after assaulting an officer and a fellow student. Instead, you can simply listen to the audio clip above and continue going about your business.
Of course, not even modern technology can save inherently dull, lame stories. And so, if you come across an article about textbooks on The Harvard Crimson’s site, do not download the podcast expecting to be entertained – although, it may come in handy for those nights of insomnia.
Luckily, Hoon’s story actually is interesting, so everyone should give it a listen while surfing through the rest of the pages on OTR.
And who knows -- one day OTR might follow suit and become an audio blog.
