There are many things to dread about college life--the food, the dorms, the showers--heavens, the showers. If you want to avoid these terrible encounters, do your research. OTR has been doing its research as well, and we've found college campuses where the students live like kings and queens--yes, these places exist.

Bowdoin College
Bowdoin College has dining halls that might as well be considered restaurants. Here, the chefs pay special attention to students' requests and lifestyles, such as vegetarian and vegan; from rum cake to Honolulu tofu, students can basically get whatever they want as long as they ask; and everything's organic. All you have to do is cough up $2,600 per semester, plus tuition of course.

Bryn Mawr College
For a school with under 800 students, Bryn Mawr has a registered dietitian on campus who gives nutritional and wellness seminars for healthy living. Bryn Mawr also boasts having one of the top ten dorms in the country. Not to mention that their buildings look like castles—fit for queens only. No kings allowed.

Smith College
Recently named #1 in Princeton Review’s “Dorms Like Palaces” category, this other all-female college is well deserving since it scraps college dorms altogether. Instead, students are put into houses. With each house comes a “House Fellow,” a professor who spends quality teatime and candlelight dinners with the students living there.

University of Southern California
Due to limited housing space, USC has used the neighboring Radisson Hotel as dorms--yes, a hotel. Four of the floors are given exclusive access to students, while the rest of the hotel accommodates actual guests. Radisson residents receive a spacious hotel room, their own bathroom, maid service, room service, gym access, and pool access.

Pepperdine University
It’s often said that Pepperdine would basically be a country club if it weren’t a dry campus. With an incredible view of the Malibu beach and the Pacific Ocean, Pepperdine has one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Plus, students don’t have to think about lifting a finger thanks to the maid—I mean, housekeeping—service.

High Point University
This one tops ‘em all. Ice cream trucks, valet parking, a concierge desk, a hot tub, free snacks, and classical music blasted on the campus speaker system, High Point gives the other schools’ spoiled students a run for their money.

University of British Columbia
Last but not least, envy the Canadians because on their Vancouver campus, students are just a walk from the beach—the nude beach, that is.
