A sunny day in Binghamton is as rare as finding a virgin in Newing. So, with this past week of endless beautiful days, students on campus are beginning to get anxious and don't really know what to do with themselves. Tanning out in the CIW commons and beach volleyball on a patch of sand that may well be shattered glass can only entertain a person for so long.
If given the opportunity to get out of town for the day, take it and run. Ithaca is only an hour's drive and well worth the trip. The Ithaca commons offer a plethora of shopping for all interests, from used books and records to wigs and smoking paraphernalia. But the real gem of Ithaca is the gorges. Buttermilk Falls is ideal for hiking and swimming, and its scenic beauty is enough to stun even the most jaded of Binghamton students (I'm talkin' to you, fellow down staters).
But whatever you decide to do, take my word for it; a sunny day away from Binghamton will be more than enough to make up for the weeks worth of trudging through the rain to your 8:30 in Lecture Hall 5.
