Ahem...A Brief Announcement
You may be aware of a rap song called "This is Why I'm Hot" by the rapper MIMS. Though you may like this song, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you; MIMS's argument on why he is hot suffers from a fatal flaw in its logical structure.

MIMS is hot because, in his words:

"I'm hot 'cause I'm fly
you ain't 'cause you're not
this is why this is why this is why I'm hot."

Mm, interesting.  MIMS is clearly using a logical fallacy called "begging the question" here; his argument can be reduced to, "I'm hot because I'm hot; you're not hot because you're not hot." Which doesn't make any sense!

Surely our artists should be expected to possess a basic competency of logical discourse and the false sense of intellectual superiority that goes with it.  I mean, come on.  You know what it is what it is when we do what we do.

I'm glad we agree.  That is all!  Carry on.
