Five2, Nepotism Headline Campus Concert

Five2, Nepotism Headline Campus Concert
The sort of critically acclaimed* all-female singing trio Five2 will be performing live on Cornell's campus on July 20.  (Yes, the Five2!)

I question their talents only because one of the members, Yvette Lucente, happens to be the Audience and Public Relations Coordinator for the Cornell Concert Series.  Hmm.  This makes me wonder how Five2, the megastars of "alternative folk harmonies", snagged this gig.

As for the name, I assume that Five2 uses that moniker because five minus two is three and there are three women in the group, all of whom passed first grade algebra with sparkly smiley faces stickers, apparently.

PS: Can nepotism be used on yourself?  Is that just cronyism?  Or self-promotion?  Oh, no; that's right, now I remember.  It's called being a dick.

PPS: A woman in the group is named Uniit Carruyo, which is a totally flippin' sweet name, end of story.

*If everyone's a critic, I'm sure someone out there likes them.  Hopefully.  Maybe.  Ish.

For those wondering, that image is the cover art for Five2's album Sweet End.  But wait, that's not all.  That's the Japanese release cover!  They must be huge in Japan with appealing, not at all creepy cover art like that.
