From E! to MTV to JMU: Comedian Hosts Student Comedy Night

From E! to MTV to JMU: Comedian Hosts Student Comedy Night

What’s funnier than a great comedian? Did you say watching your fellow class/party/roommates try to be funny but fail terribly? I thought so. Well, you can enjoy both this weekend!

In four days, it’s officially exam weekend and the LAST weekend of fall semester. Some of you (freshman) may be dying to go home because college just isn’t for you and you miss your family. However, upperclassmen have realized how fast college is going by and don’t want to leave. Either way, you should check out Funny Freakin’ Fridays this weekend.

Not only is it one of the 50 things to do at JMU besides drink and party, according to the rather depressing pamphlet, but it’s a win-win situation.

It’s hosted by Last Comic Standing finalist Adam Hunter, which hopefully means he’s funny enough to make a crowd full of buzzed college students slap their knees and laugh so hard nothing comes out—WIN! But it’s also student comedy night, which means you have the opportunity to watch that guy you sit next to in class make a fool of himself with a microphone telling jokes that probably no one gets but him—WIN! Plus, it’s F-R-E-E, freeeeeeee!

By the way, Adam Hunter has made appearances on MTV’s True Life and several E! specials (he’s one of those commentators on random countdowns that no one really knows). Who wouldn’t want to meet this A-list celeb!?

So drag yourselves away from your books (or beers) for a couple of hours this Friday at 8, kick back, and enjoy a laugh or two.
