1) Lack of sex. Being sexually frustrated and not being able to just hook up is frustrating.

2) You cheat…most likely because of the sexual frustration.

3) …or get cheated on. You can’t blame your lover for being miles and miles away from you with temptation all around and not expect him or her to stray.

4) Neither of you has enough time to devote to each other. Along with balancing your schoolwork with extra-curricular activities and a job, you also need to make time for your sweetheart. If that time isn't honored, someone will get upset or even jealous.

5) You and your significant other argue all the time. Arguing is normal in any relationship but being apart all the time allows the insecurities to creep in. Not receiving reassurance will cause big fights and lead to resentment.

6) One of you wants to "take a break." We all know what this means...

If you notice any of these signs, beware. Most long-distance relationships don't work out despite the amount of love and level of commitment. If you can manage to make it work, more power to you. If things don't work out however, don't fret - life goes on and you'll come out of it stronger and wiser.
