The worst thing about getting up for class and/or work in the morning is the sound of my alarm clock.
Seriously, I hate it.
Nothing – and I do mean nothing – sucks more than waking up from my beach vacation with Scarlett Johansson to the sound of my clock radio raping my eardrums.
Thankfully, the fine folks over at Embryo have developed a solution to getting up in the morning that doesn’t require you to undergo an epileptic seizure every day.
Introducing the glo Pillow, a pillow with a built-in LED fabric substrate that slowly lights up to ease you into the new day.
According to Embryo, the problem with normal alarms is that waking up to a loud sound disrupts one’s ability to focus and think properly for a large part of their day. Waking up to a soft light, however, leaves your mind refreshed from the previous night’s rest.
Makes perfect sense to me. Sign me the hell up!
Sadly, the glo Pillow isn’t available for sale yet, but a release shouldn’t be too far off considering it won Time Magazine’s Best Invention of 2007.
