Skidmore Grad Lori Delgado Quits NBC Anchor Chair Amidst Lawsuit

In a scenario that roughly resembles something out of Anchorman, local Philadelphia NBC-10 news anchor Lori Delgado has resigned her anchor position after being named in a lawsuit by her former anchor and friend Vince DeMentri.

DeMentri left the station earlier in the year after an incident involving Delgado’s car being vandalized. The two used to be friends, but things turned bad in recent months, and he ended up suing the station and Delgado for libel and slander:

DeMentri sued Delgado and NBC 10 for libel and slander in a praecipe to issue writ of summons, which is typically the precursor to a detailed civil complaint. DeMentri disappeared from the station in July, after meeting with Blackman over the alleged vandalism of Delgado's car in the parking lot. As we have reported, DeMentri, who is now divorced, and Delgado, who is married, once enjoyed a particularly close friendship, that soured at some point.

Hmm, is something romantical being implied there? I smell a bigger scandal brewing. All that’s missing is an on-air fight where they call each other “pirate hookers” and residents of “Whore Island.”
