Who knew that Will Smith’s Wild Wild West would actually predict the future?

A giant 50-foot robotic spider (called The Princess) has been perched on the side of a building in Liverpool, England for a few days now, but now it’s been taken down and is roaming around the waterfront. Reactions are mixed as to the implications of the massive “community theater project” as it’s being called.

“There’s so much enthusiasm in Liverpool and people really like things which are quirky and spectacular.”

On the flipside:

“Support group Anxiety UK today said it had a “great concern” over the potentially traumatic impact” the creature could have on people who are afraid of spiders.”

Arachnaphobia or no, if I saw a giant robo-spider hauling ass down my street, I think I’d be ****ing out of there. Or I’d be calling Will Smith. Ah-wicky-wild-wild-west!
