Oprah Faces Boycott After Palin Statement

Oprah Faces Boycott After Palin Statement

Uh oh, don't these women know you don't want to piss off the O? Guess not, because the Florida Federation of Republican Women is boycotting Oprah's show because of her statment last week about potentialyl interviewing Sarah Palin that caused a bit of a stir. What'd she say?

"When I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."

Hmm, and what does the Republican ladies have to say to that?

"It was just a defining moment for particularly Republican women but, quite honestly, women in general and when we found out Oprah wouldn't interview her," said FFRW President Linda Ivell. "It just seemed so odd."

Yeah, I guess it's odd, but not really any more since Sarah Palin isn't being interviewed by anyone. Well, except Charlie Gibson later this week, but I'm guessing he won't be asking her about her favorite color to wear while wolf sniping or her secret oatmeal/moose cookie recipe. Although if she did go on Oprah, maybe she'd have a Tom Cruise flip out moment and jump on the couch screaming "I LOVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS BANNING ABORTION!" and then people would stop liking her so much.

On a related note, I ordered my Sarah Palin action figure. It should be here shortly.
