As if Mondays and rainy weather aren’t enough reason to make people tick, they should take a look at the cover of the July 21 issue of the New Yorker.

If you haven’t seen it, prepare to be shocked.

The cover features a Muslim Barack Obama and a gun-toting Michelle “fist-pumping” in the Oval Office. There is a portrait of Osama bin Laden above the fireplace where the American flag is burning.

The satirical image reflects the rumors swirling around the internet regarding Obama as a Muslim. They also reflect the rumors of Michelle as an angry non-patriot fuming over the inequalities between Blacks and Whites.

Still, no one seems to be laughing. Obama’s press secretary believes readers will find the image “tasteless and offensive.” The McCain campaign agrees.

There has been no response from the Obama couple themselves.
