The Rutgers University website looks decent enough, but it was never functional enough to be considered a good one. The web registration site in particular, was always the bane of many students' existence, which was endlessly frustrating, given its pivotal role in determining what students occupied their lives doing for each semester.

Clearly, the administration was not oblivious, because noticeable redesign efforts appear each semester, and it pleases me to say that they are taking steps in the right direction.

Now, the only truly annoying part of the website is how impossible it is to sign on when students are fighting to register for classes they want/need before it closes. Given the size of Rutgers student body, the servers will never stop crashing come registration week each semester, but at least now the registration and class selection process is much more streamlined. For the first time, you can register and browse classes in the same window with the nifty drop menus. Hopefully, this is helping everyone get what they want.
