"And the Slime Awards Goes to... Catherine Reynolds!"
Fun fact: Catherine B. Reynolds, an NYU trustee, multi-million dollar donor, and prolific Sexton-handshaker, also happens to run private student lender EduCap -- a company endorsed by the Office of Financial Aid. Conflict of interest much?

Still, the loan FAQ states that "NYU officials do not have — nor have they been accused of having — financial involvement with any of the lenders we recommend" and that "the University has not been accused of recommending students borrow from any lender other than the one offering the best rates." Jeez! Someone's a little defensive!

But Reynolds gets the Slime award not for her shady dealings with NYU and other colleges, but for running a tax-exempt organization (which also claims to be a charity) as a business, with profits going straight -- and not so straight -- into her pocket. Her defense? The practice isn't illegal. News flash: that doesn't make it MORAL, you greedy pile of slime! The woman flies around in a $30 million private jet kept airborn by the high-interest loans millions sweat and slave to pay back... nuff said.
