Witchcraft Lures Us North of NYU
My old roommate/best friend and I have been working on some art and research based on the different aspects and sects of witchcraft and one of her teachers recommended we make our way to Spanish Harlem to check out the House of Candles. Definitely one of the best day trips I've taken in ages. Not only is the store itself fantastic but its inexpensive and sells some really gorgeous, authentic Santaria accouterments. For anyone curious about the religiously supernatural, I'd suggest a visit.

What makes this a great post is that it's racially, religiously and ethnically insulting and politically incorrect. No, really it is, I know those people (as maids) and they have several "belief systems" based on religious syncretism of the whites and coloreds but really I think it's witch craft and they have cheap weird shit to go culture vulture on! Glad to see NYU isn't filled with ****-hags that won't all a spade a spade. Posted 10/15/2008 1:33 PMReply
