I thought it was too good to be true when someone told me that Jake Gyllenhaal graced my campus for an entire year before dropping out. In fact, he was at Columbia for a year, and his sister Maggie made it all the way to graduation with a double major in English and Eastern Religions. And if that weren't enough, a little digging revealed that their mother used to be married to history professor Eric Foner (unfortunately NOT a hot prof). If only the Gyllenhaals were part of the Alumni network...
