Is College Worth It?

The universities secretary of Britain, John Denham, has issued a statement asserting that there are too many students opting to attend college unnecessarily. Saying, “There are certainly young people who currently go to university who would have been better off on an Advanced Apprenticeship. We have been in danger of making it sound as if university is the only real aspiration,” Denham was refreshingly honest. Indeed, one in three British grads is employed in non-graduate work. And now, my American compatriots, I ask: Is college worth it?
