Is The News making a big mistake?

In what could wind up being a huge mistake, the school’s newspaper, The News announced the other day that it’ll be printing twice a week this fall.

On one hand, by printing more than once a week the paper puts itself in danger of cranking out some seriously stale copy (see Tufts’ Daily) but on the other hand Boston has seen some colleges tackle it with grace (see Harvard’s Crimson).

With the News’ track record of not being able to hold onto writers and the always-dwindling need for physical newspapers, will the News actually be able to find a medium here?
