People love freaks of nature. Case and point: Michael Phelps The Montauk Monster, which sent the blogosphere into a frenzy at the end of July and led to the findings of Bigfoot, a fishgator, a 44lb. cat and now a two-headed turtle.
That’s right – two heads, one shell.
According to WNBC, this loveable Siamese (ninja) turtle was found in Brooklyn just a short time ago, but someone has already stolen it from the Hamilton Dog House in Kensington.
The owner of the store, Sean Casey, told WNBC he is very upset about the turtle's apparent theft.
According to the Daily News, Casey, 27, got the two-headed turtle from a man in Florida who rescued a bunch of eggs after an adult female was killed by a car a year ago.
Authorities are clueless as to why someone would steal a two-headed turtle, but for those who reported on The Monster Montauk, it’s clear that this is no doubt part of some nefarious scheme to cash in on the recent monster craze.
The only problem with the thief's plot: peddling stolen goods is illegal, even if it's a freak of nature.
