The N, a.k.a. Noggin, a.k.a. The Degrassi Channel is known for shows about Canadian middle-schoolers with STDs and "Pete and Pete" reruns. The fact that our campus cable excludes this channel has been a bewildering and horrifying travesty since Day One.

But the channel's new summer show, "The Best Years" may provide an answer. That is, if BUTV10 has had anything to say about channel line-ups.

A primetime soap set in Boston and about college students attending a fictionalized version of BU: the show sounds eerily similar to something BU has seen before. Well, some of BU. Well, the BUTV kids. Well, the BUTV kids who work on "Bay State."

If BUTV10 continues to block programming that rips off original student shows, we may soon be saying goodbye to NBC. That show with Steve Carell looks a lot like "Warren Towers."
