What’s better than a sorority girl soiree, an ultimate frisbee tournament and a batch of really swank prizes? Nothing! This year’s Alpha Chi Omega’s Frisbee Fest will be held on Sunday and the campus is roaring with excitement at the chance to dunk and pie an Alpha Chi.

Alpha Chi Omega’s philanthropy is the fight against domestic violence and every year, the sorority raises thousands of dollars to this admirable cause. The annual Frisbee Fest tournament is held in honor of Elizabeth Pernel; one of the sorority’s fallen sisters who was killed in the midst of a domestic dispute. All the proceeds from the event will go towards the fight against domestic violence.

The festivities will commence at 11and continue on until 4 o’clock. And with raffle prizes including two tickets for a night's stay at ski resorts and a plethora of gift certificates, the attendantees will surely leave with something great.

So for all those who will be in the Hamden area, come out and support the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega in their efforts to end domestic violence one whipped cream pie at a time.
