As you are most likely aware, ballet flats are a big trend right now. They're comfortable, functional, and they're a nice way to dress up some jeans or dress down a dress without trying to hard.

Unfortunately, ballet flats are another trend being used and abused by Northwestern students. A girl was seen crossing Clark St. wearing a t-shirt and gym shorts coupled with a pair of sparkly ballet flats. Sure, you don't want to look like you're going to the gym, but seriously, who are you trying to impress?

The sorority girls in Blomquist will only giggle at your misinformed choice in footwear and the frat guys up at SPAC don't give a shit unless your shoes are capable of lifting weights. Just wear sneakers between your apartment and the gym. You look stupid.
