Today, Tara Lowe shares her memory of Eve Carson with us:
My freshman year at UNC I worked on the Student Television program "Late Night STV" (same idea as Leno or Letterman). Right after she won the election, Eve was our special guest on Late Night STV.
I remember when she got there she immediately brought a soothing and upbeat feeling to the set.
She was very kind, always smiling, and eager to help her fellow students. During the show Eve spoke very eliquently about her stance on different issues and displayed a great sense of humor. I knew she was destined to do great things, and I envied the future I knew she would have.
Hearing about Eve's death tore my heart in two. I couldn't believe I would never see her smiling face again and never read about the great things she was accomplishing for herself, her school, and for me. Eve will be greatly missed, and I think that heaven is lucky to have her.
