Tune in to The CW tonight to catch a senior theater major make her TV debut on... "Farmer Wants a Wife."

Amanda was spotted by casting agents while eating lunch at Norris (does this happen often?) and spent the whole summer doing all these icky farmer tasks in order to impress the hot stud farmer man looking for a city girl to make his wife.

Word on the street is... Amanda wins!

But what does she win really? I don't understand the concept of the show, so I don't know. Is it like a poor man's "The Bachelor"? But what's the appeal? Who would want to marry a farmer and move to the middle of nowhere Missouri? How provincial. Does she win the exposure needed to be a "real actress"? But how many "actresses" got her start on the bastardized reality TV genre?

Well, apparently Amanda is putting aside her $160,000 diploma to try to snatch a farmer on reality TV and jump start her acting career. Quite unusual... but good luck!
