I'm seriously exhausted of image searching "Mayor Daley."
Today, The Chicago Tribune joined the fray and published an article all about senior disappointment in Mayor Daley. In an article entitled "NU grads say Daley too small for big day: As commencement speaker, mayor a letdown, some say" the Trib interviews students and draws from the Daily's comment threads to paint our picture of sheer disappointment.
Some students claim (not in the Trib article, but somewhere in the Daily comments) that they were even interviewed by television outlets about the letdown. Awesome.
Which begs the question - is this actually becoming a much bigger issue than it was intended to be? Much like that Dean Lavine thing (which made it all the way to Newsweek, among other national publications), seems like we may be making Daley "extremely well-known" after all.
I stand by my thoughts - had this information just been released in the winter like it was supposed to be, seniors would not be up in arms. But now that we are, watch out: a good Northwestern education = more intelligent and biting insults than otherwise expected.
