NU's Paddy Murphy Week Makes Some Coin

NU's Paddy Murphy Week Makes Some Coin
This past Friday, SAE concluded its week-long annual philanthropy, Paddy Murphy Week.  The procession down Sheridan featured tombstones decorated by sororities, a bagpiper, and what we hope was an empty coffin.

Apologies to those caught in traffic Friday afternoon when the rubbernecking ensued.  The procession ended at the SAE temple and was followed by the Paddy Murphy Widow Competition.  Highlights included competitors revealing inside jokes, Irish accents, and an attempt to recite SAE's creed on the "True Gentleman."

SAE raised $1100 from the Penny Wars competition alone.  Alpha Phi won the overall competition, and will be able to donate a portion of the proceeds to the philanthropy of their choice.
