Julia Allison Wants Northwestern to Turn Into a Public School

Wired covergirl and Gawker staple, Julia Allison (claim to fame: being an internet nobody), is sick and tired of "really rich" kids getting the university treatment while the rest of the world suffers in ignorance. And of course, she let the Dean hear her opinion.

Posted on her blog, a conversation with her parents (she's from some random Chicago suburb and home for the holidays) about how she thinks Northwestern professors should put all their lectures online as a way to offer a public good to society. After all, "someone is paying the taxes that those universities aren't paying!"

Ewwww, what are we? A public school?!?

Her dad disagrees because, well, he's the only logical human being Allison ever interacts with.

But question: which of our Deans (School of Communications, Weinberg, Medill) is most likely to engage in a insightful conversation with an Internet Celebrity on the future of academics?
