Our freshman survival series of places-to-never-go continues! (Read Part One.)

The WOW Cafe and WIngery seemed like such a fantastic idea when its opening was announced last year. Hamburgers! In J Street! Convenient and delicious, and on GWorld.  

Then it opened months behind schedule, soon fired half the student employees, and turned out to have terrible food.  One hungry student's anecdote, as related to OTR, is typical: they dropped in after a midterm and immediately before giving blood, thinking the protein in a hamburger would be beneficial. Surprised to find the cafe empty, she soon discovered why: the food is practically inedible. The burger was rubbery, the fries were soggy, and the waitstaff was rude. The whole place had that special kind of fast food vibe that makes you think whoever is preparing your food is probably spitting in it. Or worse.
