Pre-Game Blackout Just Not the Same Anymore

Pre-Game Blackout Just Not the Same Anymore
As you all know the Michigan vs. Eastern Michigan game will be taking place this Saturday. What you may not know, although probably aren’t surprised, is that the game will once again be whored out by the Big Ten Network. This is a home game, so it doesn’t pose the same problem it did last week, but it does have an effect in its own special way.

This game is the designated blackout game of the year. An out of conference game as easy as this one in the middle of the big ten season screams for a shit-face inducing pre-game, much like last year’s game against Ball St. (which proved scarier than most would have hoped). But last year people could arise from their drunken haziness and at least watch the 4th quarter on TV. This year, the blackouts will have to walk down to the stadium at three o’clock if they want to avoid refreshing Yahoo for a second consecutive week.
