After a brief stint as invitation-only, Rumor Royalty is back! The gossip boy behind the blog is now viciously posting from his Blackberry and has enlisted the help of Shot Snob to blog about bar life (whatever that means).

He has also issued a disclaimer to save himself from libel charges:

"Any similarities or resemblances to people or events on this site are completely coincidental. This is a work of fiction. All names and events are characters."

Methodology: I ranked these houses based largely on looks and success in getting contested girls in rush. Other important factors include whether or not I have friends in a certain house. I didn't rank the minority houses because they kinda do their own thing, for the most part. I actually had to look at the fraternity homepage to think of all of those. Why are the chi's so bad?

Anyway, basically I ranked these on best places to party, rush success, ability to pull girls/hottest girlfriends. A lot of times the deciding factor was which date party would my friends go to if, say, Fiji and DU were having one on the same night, so same thing goes with personal bias etc. Same as above w/the gaps...

If Delt were still around they'd be in first or maybe a tie for first since they lost rush last year but won it the years before and were pretty much the best at hooking up with girls

it's really sad that i spent so much time doing this

Based on these facts, A Phi and Zeta moved up. BUT, I'm not sure if A Phi can keep it up... They may have just gotten lucky this year. Although their strong pledge class will definitely affect next year's rush for the better, girls might get swept up by the more social/crazy sororities when they meet girls at parties or bars before A Phi can influence them during rush itself. This would be hard since some of the sweetest A Phi girls don't go out enough to have as much influence as the girls in Theta/Kappa/Tridelt or DG.

Zeta had a pretty solid pledge class for their first year (most are pretty or "cute," a couple are weird but at least decent-looking, a couple are HOT but don't go out enough to get noticed, etc.), and what's more all the weird people graduated--which makes for a HUGE improvement. They seem down-to-earth enough to realize that it's useless trying to become top-5, so if they play their cards right, they will probably be able to compete with Gamma Phi or maybe Pi Phi. I agree to an extent with those rankings... I'm not even going to bother with the top 3... But as for the middle ones, I'd say more girls next year will pick Zeta and Pi Phi over Gamma Phi... It used to be a great sorority, but all of their fun and hot seniors are gone now, leaving it to the pledge class to pick up where they left off - but that doesn't look like it's going to happen, as the pledge class isn't nearly as good as previous years'. Plus there were some nasty rumors going around about the number of "rotund" girls, which no sorority wants to have. If you look at the pledge classes, Pi Phi's was a lot better, and Zeta's was marginally better. BUT Pi Phi's get a lot of crap for being wannabe top 5's and Zeta's get crap for being new, which is why they are ranked lower even if their pledge class is better.
