We just want to play sportz!

If you are at all athletically-inclined, you would know that sign-ups for spring intramural sports started today - softball, soccer, and frisbee. Sign-ups were from 9 am this morning through 4 pm tomorrow afternoon, so plenty of time to sign up, right?

Wrong. Once again, Northwestern jerks who wake up early ruin it for everyone else. Much like with Flight of the Conchords tickets, people were lined up outside of Patten Gym earlier than 8 AM, a full hour before the doors open to sign up for a time slot. And not just some people, literally dozens of people.

When we sauntered in circa 2 pm - which by all accounts should have been early in a two day period - we were put on a waiting list and told they would try to fit us into the schedule.

Why is this school filled with crazies that wake up before the crack of day for literally any event that promises to allow them to wait on line? Concert tickets, fine... but a slot in a non-competitive, intramural sports league? Don't any of you ever have hangovers?
